Between fresh green salads, pasta salads, and meat marinades, my family goes through A LOT of dressing in the summer.
I used to go through containers and containers of store-bought dressings filled with preservatives, artificial dyes, and added sweeteners because it honestly just seemed like too much extra work to make my own dressing.
But then I actually made my own dressing, and, well, all I can say is that I wish someone had told me a lot sooner how incredibly easy it actually is – not to mention how much better the homemade stuff tastes!
So if you’re looking for a simple, healthy summer dressing but you’re a little intimidated by the whole make-your-own thing, this Lemon Garlic Dressing recipe is for you.
It has five simple ingredients, takes all of five minutes to make (probably not even), and it’s delicious with all kinds of foods! Pour it over a fresh green salad, or marinade your chicken in it overnight before grilling.
My personal favorite way to eat it is smothered over a pasta salad full of fresh summer veggies, and I’ll be sharing that Perfect Summer Pasta Salad recipe with you soon!
In the meantime, mix up a quick jar of this Lemon Garlic Dressing to have on hand in your fridge this week. Be warned though – you might never go back to buying that store-bought dressing again.
